This week went by so quickly, which is great. 3 of the 4 days were really nice, so I played some pickleball. I usually play about 2 hours at a time, which ends up being decent cardio. Then on Sunday, Palm Sunday, it snowed in the morning! The weather changes so frequently here (just like Cleveland)…the old adage: wait 5 minutes and it’ll change!
While I am finishing up the tutoring course, I was asked to teach an interview and resume course beginning at the end of the month. The course will be 10 weeks long, but only meeting for an hour per week. My past experience of teaching this content to high schoolers in Columbus will certainly be helpful. However, teaching incarcerated men will be more challenging. The good news is that the course is for those who want to take it, so it is not required (which I am guessing that most of the guys will want to be in the class). I don’t know many details of how in-depth this course will be, but I just know that I will be teaching it to no more than 25 guys 🙂
My mind has been distracted by the passing of Fr. Krizner since I had been really caught off guard. My prayers go out to the community at St. Colette Parish during this Holy Week, especially to be without their shepherd. It is challenging to see the miracles of life within the blindness of death, but my faith helps keep me focused.
I will keep this post short, since I had spent a lot of computer time drafting the reflection on my mentor and friend, Fr. Krizner. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to extend their condolences.
I hope you all have a wonderful Holy Week in preparation for Easter! Keep an eye out for those little miracles to let you know that God loves you!
